Seize the Night and Volunteer at the Gunnison Valley Observatory
Are you looking for a rewarding experience? Are you interested in astronomy, education or community involvement? The Gunnison Valley Observatory offers a fantastic opportunity to participate in astronomy in one of Colorado’s most beautiful communities with amazingly pristine skies.
Volunteering for the Gunnison Valley Observatory is the inside track to hands on technical experience with professional telescopic equipment and astronomically informed minds. Volunteers can be expected to participate in any of several ways during our Friday night viewing sessions.
Opportunities for Volunteers at Gunnison Valley Observatory
Volunteers are needed to greet visitors, take admissions, operate the telescope, educate visitors about viewed astronomical objects and assist visitors in using the smaller telescopes.
No prior experience is necessary as the Gunnison Valley Observatory will provide all necessary training. Volunteering presents a fantastic opportunity to get hands-on experience with state-of-the-art equipment, learn about astronomy and help your community. Many opportunities are available.
So if you have a keen interest in astronomy or are eager to learn, we’d love for you to join our team!
