A team of devoted volunteers tread a long, hard road to raise funds and awareness for the construction of the Gunnison Valley Observatory. Located close to the city of Gunnison, but far enough away from the city’s heart to enjoy pristine skies with little light polution, the Gunnison Valley Observatory features a 30-inch reflective lens and is open to the public every Friday night from the late spring through the early autumn.
